Plan Production
Plan Production was launched in 2000 as an independent production company to provide Plan Sweden foundation and others with production services within the area of TV- and video production.
Initially, Plan Production joined forces with Plan Norway and Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), to produce a series of children's programs called 'Best Friends'. The series was broadcast in Sweden and in Norway, and re-runs still occur in Swedish TV4.
Following the success of 'Best Friends', Plan Production joined with renowned producer/journalist Malcolm Dixelius, in his production of two documentaries about trafficking; 'The Journey to Hell and back' and 'Girls in Jeopardy'. The two documentaries portrayed children from Nepal and Moldavia, who had been victims of traffickers.
In 2001, Plan Production worked together with director/producer Maria Bergvall and photographer Lovisa Kiwan-Turesson, on the production of the documentary 'Don't cry when I'm gone'. The film portrays three Ugandan families who are all victims of hiv/aids, and their participation in the Memory Books-project organized by Plan Uganda.
